As for Laura Beth, she is fine - at times. She has not run a fever since Monday but her energy and emotional levels are still on a rocking roller coaster ride. She has missed and will miss the whole week of school - which she has not been real crazy about. She has a big weekend planned and we will see what all we actually get to. Hope the rest of you don't get this!

TamiFlu - We Don't Like You!
That is right! The flu has hit our house this week. Not through the little boy in the pictures but through Laura Beth. We took her in on Monday thinking it was a sinus infection and found out differently. Therefore, we are ALL on TamiFlu to get her over it and to help the rest of us not catch it. Carter has been cracking us up, though, when it comes to taking this medicine. He has had to take daily medicine since he was 6 months old because of allergies and has NEVER complained about medicines. He, however, HATES this stuff with a passion we have never seen in him. It takes him forever to take it and then we all hear about how he can still taste it for the rest of the day. This is him yesterday contemplating how he was going to get rid of the medicine without actually having to take it! Oh me!
What a bummer!!!! I am so sorry - I know this is the LAST thing you needed in your life right now. Hang in there and don't get sick yourself!!!
ReplyDeletepoor little thing!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry that the flu has hit your house. Unfortunately, it has hit ours too. Just found out today that my little man has it. He's been running a fever all week but the type of flu he has doesn't respond to TamiFlu. So I'm hoping that the rest of us can escape it.
ReplyDeleteHope it skips the rest of your family.
I can so relate...we just got over lots of illness here the past couple of months... praise God we are well now. I don't think they have the Tamiflu here...
ReplyDeleteYou know when Eli doesn't like meds we put it in apple juice and he will drink it...just a thought.
Glad to hear she is recovering. Tell Carter to hold his nose and swallow. That normally works for me.. If he wants - while he's holding his nose drink some fruit juice right after to get the nasty taste out of the mouth!! Good luck! I hate liquid meds! :o(
ReplyDeleteUgh. No fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat a little stinker, he needs to take his medicine!
Poor guy! Glad it's kept everyone else from getting the flu!
ReplyDeleteI have hid medicine in all kinds of foods ~ otherwise the kids wouldn't swallow! Thank goodness we don't have to do it often!
ReplyDeleteHope the little one is feeling better.
Today is a very big day in the Where’s Wenda? Contest. I am visiting all of the SITS followers. Can I do it? There are around 1000 followers. Oh my! Better grab my cup of coffee and get on my way. Be sure to visit Hot Chocolate Caramel Mocha and Three Bay B Chicks as part of your contest entry.

ReplyDeleteSo sorry your little ones have been sick! I've been away from your blog for a couple of weeks, but continue to pray for you all. How is your husband's job search going?
