A Memorable Memorial Day

Thanks to Groupon, our Memorial Day plan was to go to Memphis to see the RedBirds play baseball.  LB had asked if the Peabody Hotel was close to the ball park because she wanted to go see the ducks after reading John Phillip Duck at school this year.  We were in luck!! The Peabody is right down the street from AutoZone park and so off we went!!!!!  We were running a little late, but got pretty good seats to see the ducks in action!

Here they come!!!!! From their penthouse apartment, walking down the red carpet into the fountain!

If you look closely, you can see the ducks behind them!
From there, we went to Huey's for lunch.  The kids have declared this their favorite place to eat in Memphis!!!  We enjoyed a wonderful lunch and even managed to get some toothpicks stuck in the ceiling this time!  Then, it was off to the ballpark to see the RedBirds in action against the Omaha Storm Chasers.  The RedBirds are the AAA team for the St. Louis Cardinals and their ball park was declared by somebody important (as well as Carter) as the Best Minor League Ball Park.  It was very nice and we enjoyed it very much!

Carter and Rockey

Daryl Jones was nice enough to come by for an autograph.
He also had a great game!
We had a great time being together as a family - which does not happen a lot when someone in your house works retail!!!! We hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day!
