Literary Ladies: It Happened At the Fair

In March, our Literary Ladies at church had our meeting to discuss our latest book we had read

It Happened at the Fair by Deeanna Gist.

I absolutely LOVED this book.

It takes place at the Chicago's World Fair in 1893.

This book has everything in it -

history...

love...

chocolate...

firefighters...

beauty...

mystery...

We had a wonderful time reading it and fabulous time talking about the book.

Tables were set and decorated to recognize the different buildings the World's Fair had to offer. 

Of course, we couldn't go without a table to represent the firefighters!

A Ferris Wheel graced the food table since it made its debut at the

Chicago's World Fair.

Doughnuts 

It was a fabulous night at the fair!
