Our Shining Star

Well, our plans to play ball all weekend in White House were literally washed away . . . Luckily, we were staying with family and got some awesome time with them!  My niece, Addison, was going to a theatre camp at the Nashville Children's Theatre, and we got to see the closing production! She was simply a bright and shining star!

We were all so proud of her!
We celebrated with a trip to Demos' in downtown Nashville.  Carter had to stop and take a Batman picture with the Batman building.

Hate we did not get to play ball, but so glad we were able to see Addison.
We also got another day to play with cousins on Saturday because of even more rain . . .

State Tournament Begins . . .

One of our last weekends of the summer was spent in White House, TN, at the Tennessee State Baseball Tournament for 7 and 8 year olds.  It was a beautiful day for opening ceremonies and the first game.  The boys LOVED the opening ceremonies - carrying out the District 2 flag and just being a part of it all.

We had a couple of hours to rest between the ceremonies and the first game vs. Dickson County.  The guys thought it was great that they got called out before each game just like the big guys!!!

"Playing second base . . . . #22 Carter Welch!"
He had some AMAZING hits this game!

Celebrating a big 12-4 win with cousin Addison and LB - we loved being close enough so family could be there to see him play ball!

After a celebratory meal at Cracker Barrel, he had to call Pop Whittle when he got to Dustin and Rebecca's to tell him all about the game . . . .

Can't wait to play tomorrow . . .
