A Week of Baseball

Carter is usually my home body - except when it comes to baseball. When it comes to baseball it does not matter where or when - he is ready! He was able to spend a week at baseball camp with some of his teammates and friends this year. They loved it! Here he is learning to slide - a skill he LOVES to practice!

Some of the best news we got on the day was that Mrs. Dee is going to loop with the kids to third grade next year!!!!! We are so excited to get to do this again! We have been blessed with such wonderful teachers in Laura Beth's time at East Chester - even if she has only had 2!!! Can't wait till next year, Mrs. Dee!!!!

Practically Perfect in Every Way

The end of our Christmas present was tickets to see Mary Poppins at the Fabulous Fox in Atlanta and it was fabulous in every way! The kids were so excited and Carter was determined that Mary Poppins would NOT fly. When she did, oh my! Carter was completely amazed. They were also amazed at Bert climbing up and over the stage! It was truly magical to see what Disney did and the kids' faces!!
Aunt Amy and LB around the restroom in the Fox - it was like a castle!
In the seats
The stage - I actually got in trouble for taking this pic.
Ooops!

The Perfect Lunch Date

I love going out to lovely places to eat and Maggiano's is one of my most favorite places. That is where we were able to eat lunch on Saturday with Richard and Amy. It was FABULOUS!!
Carter took this picture of Amy, Richard and LB
LB's turn to take this group shot
He is really not as tough as he looks!
My precious girl!

A Fantastic End to the Night

After the game we were able to view the Friday Night Fireworks show. It was great!
She is SOOOO my daughter.
The group watching the show

LB and Aunt Amy taking in the sights
Carter deemed them "Too Loud!"
I will remember that!

Christmas in May

For Christmas Richard and Amy gave our family tickets to the Braves vs Diamondbacks game. We were all so excited! We took the kids out of school - shame, I know, but we had permission from the principal and off we went . . . .
Richard, LB and Amy walking to the game.
Carter had a rough start to the game with some
car sickness, but got over it pretty quickly.
My little American had to have her picture taken with this
and, of course, Uncle Richard had to be in it!

With Homer
It was Wild Wild West night at the game.
Her daddy would be proud.
What a crew - that were eventually on national
tv!!!! It was too cool!
Carter decided we needed a rally cap in the first inning!!!
We moved seats due to some rain showers,
I think it was good luck because we started
coming back in the game . . ..
Everyone had rally caps at this point . . . .
The Braves won the game in Carter's favorite fashion - a walk off double!!! YAY! Braves!!

Colorful Kindergarteners . . . . .

Carter and his classmates celebrated the end of a wonderful year with a program called "A World of Color." They made a rainbow by wearing different colored shirts and sang songs about all the colors of the rainbow. They did a great job!
Carter coming in . . . .
Getting ready to sing songs with some of his best friends

What he wants to be when he REALLY grows up . . . .
after he plays ball.
Not my best picture by any means but here is Mrs. Kim
giving Carter the "Remarkable Reader" award
for his class.
Great Papa Whittle came to see
the awards ceremony
Carter and Lawson have been together since
birth - practically!
Grandad and Gran Willis

One VERY proud daddy!
