Girls' Trip!!!!

One reason LB and I stayed behind on the St. Louis trip was we went down to Auburn that Monday.

Walker was having his tonsils and adenoids taken out, so we went to help Amy with the kids.

We had a blast even though poor Walker was not 100%.  You will see from some of the pictures he was still "Walker," but then he would crash later!

 On our last day, Walker was still not 100%, so we took Lucy home with us!!!!

It was sad to leave Walker, but we were excited for some special Lucy time!!

Boys' Trip!!!!

Carter's baseball team took a trip to St. Louis this past weekend.

They got to see the Cardinals play the Rangers.

LB and I decided that it needed to be a boys' trip, so we stayed at home and said,

"Happy Father's Day and Happy Birthday to Damon!!"

Yes, we dress in FULL gear when we go to the games!

They got Yu Darvish's autograph - the WHOLE goal of the trip!

and there it is  - somewhat!!!

My boys - after a 3 hour rain delay!!!!!!

We have been so blessed with Carter's team this year.  There are such good boys and families on the team.  We have loved our Slider family!! Carter and Damon enjoyed the game after the 3 hour rain delay and yes, they made it awake for the ENTIRE game (which did not end until about 1:00 in the morning).  Best part (besides Yu Darvish's autograph) was THE RANGERS WON!!!!!!!

Mady Time!!!!

We LOVE the Newby family.

We have been so blessed to have 4 Newbys as our college family and 

have adored them all!!!

The last Newby is Mady - she will be a senior in high school this coming year.

We already love Mady, and were thrilled to be able to spend some special Mady time the other day.

The kids just fell in love with her as we watched HSM, ate chocolate chip cookies and 

countless other things.

We are ready for Mady to join the family as an FHU student!!!

Mady and Carter bonded a lot this weekend.
However, he has declared Hunter to be his favorite Newby ever.

MSYC Week 3, 2013 Draws to an End

As with all good things . . . 

camp must come to an end.

Needless to say, the kids had a great time.

They came away better people with great friends from the week.

And . . .

They are ready to go back!

LB said 81 memory verses throughout the week!!!

Carter got Best Young Guys Camper.

MSYC Week 3 - Here We Come!!!!

For the first time EVER, both kids are heading to MSYC to spend the night.

WHOO HOO!!!!

They were up at the crack of dawn. . . .

talking 90 to nothing . . . 

when Damon asked LB why she was so excited, she said, 

"Because Steven says MSYC is the closest thing to heaven, and I agree!"

If everyone heard a gigantic scream coming from our direction, it was because the girls found out they

were in McKenzie's cabin for the week.

Needless to say, they were pumped!

Carter was just as pumped when he walked into Cabin 1 and realized that over half the cabin

were his friends from Henderson!

This cabin may never be the same again!!!!

Damon and I went to "dirt church" because Carter forgot ALL of this bath house stuff.

It was good to see they were fitting right in and already having a ball!

Oh what will we do all week?
