The Big Pay-off
Carter had a huge game Monday night. He came ready to play. We were concerned because the game did not even start until 8:00. So to help get him ready, Damon gave him sips of Dr. Pepper periodically for the night. According to Carter, that helped him. He was 2 for 2 with a double, scored a run and had a RBI. However, the big play was to end the game when Carter caught a pop up to the pitcher's circle. The whole stands erupted because it is so rare for a 5/6 year old to catch a ball like that. Little does everyone know we do that continually in our house and have been for the last 2 years! It all paid off. Tyler made it to the game along with Papa Whittle, Grandad Willis, Damon and myself. Gran stayed home with Laura Beth since it was so late.

I bet your heart stopped and it seemed like FOREVER for that ball to come down!!! Good job, Carter.
Some of our best memories and best friends came from the ball fields with the kids! We thought they would never end...but they did! Enjoy every second!! So proud of Carter!! Keep us updated!!
It was so good to see you guys today! Did you tell me that LB is maybe going to go to Jr. camp the first week?? That's when we'll be there this time, and I know Kinlee would love to get to go with her if it worked out.
I LOVE stories like that...mostly because we are such youth sports fans around here. Last week, my little Scout played second base and threw a girl out at first. We were all screaming like crazy..so I understand. LOL
I'm glad he's loving ball so much!
