What a wonderful Easter weekend we were able to take part in. We - along with thousands of others - gathered in one of 5 cities for the Lads to Leaders Convention. We were able to attend at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN. We witnessed so many young men and women learning how they can serve God in various ways according to their talents. We had been several years before when the kids were babies, but took some time off from going to convention. This year Laura Beth and Carter showed interest in participating so we took off with over 100 others from our congregation.
The kids from our congregation (in the navy blue shirts) are receiving their Good Samaritan awards for service to others. Laura Beth is in the top picture and Carter is in the bottom picture.
Laura Beth also participated in K-2 songs of praise. Here are pictures of her practicing before convention and leading her song, "Jesus Loves Me," at convention. She says she wants to do a speech next year.

Carter also participated in K-2 song leading (even though he is in preschool). I was not able to go in order to watch Laura Beth lead singing, and did not have sense enough to bring two cameras. They said he did a wonderful job. The bottom right picture is of him on stage Saturday night.
We are so proud of all our participants and their willingness to learn how to better serve our God in heaven.
