What I Have Been Doing With Myself . . . .

This time last week I was so excited about so many things I was going to be doing on my blog.  I was going to announce the winner of my hospitality plea - that is coming btw.  I was going to share the amazing blessing I had been given of studying the lady Lydia from Acts 16 and hospitality - that is still coming too btw.

However,  Tuesday night/Wednesday morning I was hit with what later would be referred to as viral bronchitis.  However, I still taught Bible class Wednesday night and went straight to bed afterwards.

Thursday and Friday I was hit with something else - later to be determined as a viral sinus infection on top of the viral bronchitis.  I was NONE too happy about this because Pioneer Woman was coming to Memphis and I WAS SUPPOSE TO GO!!!!!!  However, my friends, family and I knew I was too sick when I finally sent Bridget a text saying I could not make it.  I was most upset later because Marlboro Man was with her!!!!!

My friends got pictures - I got green with envy.

What else did I get?  A prescription Saturday morning for TamiFlu - yep!!!!!  Flu B

YES, I had the shot! and YES, I still got the flu on top of the viral sinus infection on top of the viral bronchitis.  (I sound like my own version of the This is the House that Jack Built.)  So, for the past 3 1/2 days this is all I have seen - my faithful dog, Chip, at the foot of my bed.

Good Ole' Chip stayed right there by my feet - unless the kids or Damon was home.
Good Ole' Chip checked on me each time I coughed or sneezed - until Sunday when I do believe he was just tired of the whole thing (and he wasn't the only one).
Good Ole' Chip was right there beside me through it all - except Monday morning when the bad storms came and he went under my bed to hide.

What in the world would I have done if it had not been for this dog?

Thankfully, I am on the mend now.  Still not a work because I can't talk and can't stop coughing.  I am so thankful for all the friends and family who have stepped in to help take the kids away and brought good "flu" food in for me.  Damon has been a dear and I think has learned a lot about morning schedules and homework time as well!!!  Here's hoping tomorrow is even better because I will be back to talk about the Hospitality plea and share what I learned from my study!
